Abstract

The study mainly aimed to identify the effectiveness of an applied colleges programs in some Saudi universities in meeting the requirements of the labor market from the view point of faculty members. The descriptive method was used for the study, and the questionnaire was used to collect data and information’s. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: Academic majors and planning for graduates of applied colleges in the universities of Makkah Al-Mukarramah region in preparing students for the labor market came to a medium degree. The adequacy of the qualities of the graduates of applied colleges in preparing students for the requirements of the labor market was high. The relationship of applied colleges in preparing students for the labor market was low. The role of faculty members in applied colleges is to prepare students for the labor market to a high degree. The role of faculty members in applied colleges is to prepare students for the labor market to a high degree. There are a number of obstacles that prevent applied colleges from preparing their graduates for the labor market, and these obstacles came to a very high degree. There are statistically significant differences in the responses of the study sample in favor of the Applied college at King Abdulaziz University in meeting the requirements of the labor market. There are statistically significant differences in the responses of the study sample in favor of majoring in applied sciences in meeting the requirements of the labor market. There are no statistically significant differences in the responses of the study sample due to the gender variable (male/female) in meeting the requirements of the labor market, and the study made several recommendations.

الملخص

هدفت الدراسة للتعرف على مدى فاعلية برامج الكليات التطبيقية ببعض الجامعات السعودية في تلبية متطلبات سوق العمل من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس، واستخدمت المنهج الوصفي، منهجاً للدراسة، كما استخدمت الاستبانة لجمع البيانات والمعلومات، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج من أهمها: أن دور التخصصات العلمية والتخطيط للخريجين بالكليات التطبيقية في جامعات منطقة مكة المكرمة في إعداد الطلاب لسوق العمل، جاء بدرجة متوسطة. كفاية صفات الخريجين بالكليات التطبيقية في إعداد الطلاب لمتطلبات سوق العمل كانت بدرجة مرتفعة. علاقة الكليات التطبيقية في إعداد الطلاب لسوق العمل جاءت بدرجة منخفضة. جاء دور أعضاء هيئة التدريس بالكليات التطبيقية في إعداد الطلاب لسوق العمل بدرجة مرتفعة. هنالك عدد من المعوقات التي تحول دون إعداد الكليات التطبيقية لخريجيها لسوق العمل، وجاءت هذه المعوقات بدرجة مرتفعة جداً. وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في استجابات عينة الدراسة لصالح الكلية التطبيقية بجامعة الملك عبد العزيز في تلبية متطلبات سوق العمل. وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في استجابات عينة الدراسة لصالح التخصص للعلوم التطبيقية في تلبية متطلبات سوق العمل. عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة احصائية في استجابات عينة الدراسة تعزى لمتغير النوع (ذكر/ أنثى) في تلبية متطلبات سوق العمل، وقدمت الدراسة عدة توصيات.
